About this file
This is a Statement of Requirements for Air University Library's subscription to Springshare LibApps software-as-a-service solutions. The Air University Library requires a three-product suite consisting of LibGuides, LibAnswers, and LibWizard to support effective communication and access to library services for Air University students, faculty, and researchers in the digital information environment.
LibGuides enables the library to disseminate curated research information across more than 200 subject-specific research guides maintained by multiple subject librarians, with features including A-Z database list management, multiple content and file type support, internal content search, image management, and integration capabilities. LibAnswers provides customer service functionality through chat, SMS, email, and online contact forms, with an FAQ page and three queues for automating workflows and staff assignments. LibWizard allows creation of forms, surveys, tutorials, and quizzes that integrate with LibAnswers and can be embedded in the university's Canvas learning management system or the broader Springshare catalog for 24/7 availability to distance learners and resident students. All three products must seamlessly integrate with the library's existing LibCal subscription and support tiered user accounts with granular permissions. Delivery requirements specify a minimum of 50 authorized user accounts for library staff and unlimited public-facing web access for all Air University students, faculty, and staff, with delivery to 600 Chennault Circle, Maxwell Air Force Base, Alabama 36112.

Statement of Requirements Air University Library Springshare LibApps
1.0 PURPOSE. Air University Library (AUL) requires a subscription to a suite of Software as a Service
(SaaS) solutions provided by Springshare, specifically: LibGuides, LibAnswers, and LibWizard.
These products enable effective and efficient communication of and access to AUL’s services and resources for Air University. This continuation of our web presence is essential for keeping up with the academic and research needs of AU Students and Faculty in the increasingly digital age of information.
2.0 DESCRIPTION OF ITEMS. The following items are required for performance under this contract:
2.1 Suite of Sprinshare LibApps:
2.1.1 LibGuides: allows the library to quickly disseminate curated information on a wide variety of research topics and allows the library to pivot those resources to the public in the most efficient manner possible. AUL's LibGuides can be accessed at https://fairchild-mil.libguides.com/about/. Library staff continuously create and updates research guides on different subjects to support faculty and student research. All the information contained is publicly accessible; it does not contain Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) or Personally Identifiable Information (PII). More than 200 research guides now reside on LibGuides, maintained by multiple subject librarians. LibGuides provides a dedicated A-Z Databases list management feature, supports multiple content and file types, contains internal content search options, and offers an image manager and assets; both with metadata and integration capabilities to other LibApps and external sources.
2.1.2 LibAnswers: allows Air University students, faculty and researchers to easily engage professional librarians via chat box, Short Message Service (SMS), email, or online contact forms and offers a Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) page. AUL's LibAnswers page for submitting questions via email is at https://fairchild-mil.libanswers.com/form?queue_id=1588, while the FAQ page is at https://fairchild-mil.libanswers.com/. LibAnswers enhances customer service workflows by providing 3 queues through which automations can be implemented, and staff assignments can be made.
2.1.3 LibWizard: allows AUL to create forms, surveys, tutorials, and quizzes. The forms integrate with LibAnswrs, our help desk. Surveys integrate into other products across AUL’s Springshare catalog. Tutorials are an important tool for teaching and instruction. LW provides AUL the ability to provide all of these products electronically 24/7, making them available to all distance learners as well as in resident students at their point and time of need. All of the LibWizard features can be plugged into our Springshare catalog for full integration with other Springshare products. LibWizard features can also be plugged natively into AU’s Learning Management System (LMS), Canvas, making those products available to all distance learners.
It automates work that is currently being provided by library staff, creating efficiencies that let staff members work on other priorities. Meeting students at their point of need inside of their existing learning environment allows us to provide better library service to all of AU that is not dependent on staff ability or school schedules https://fairchild-mil.libguides.com/about/ https://fairchild-mil.libguides.com/about/ https://fairchild-mil.libanswers.com/form?queue_id=1588 https://fairchild-mil.libanswers.com/
