About this file

This document is a Salient Characteristics specification for a Haemonetics Blood Track Refrigerator, a medical equipment item for Madigan Army Medical Center (MAMC). The refrigerator must interface with MHS Genesis, feature an internal rechargeable lithium-ion battery, and meet specific technical requirements including ECG filtering standards from ACC, AHA, and HRS. Key functional capabilities include mobile operation with 180-degree swivel and 120-degree tilt, patient barcode scanning, a 17" LCD display for ECG data, and touchscreen navigation.

The device requires advanced security and networking features, including controlled PHI access, AES 256-bit encryption for electronic protected health information, and the ability to connect to Madigan's Network. Critical medical functionality includes providing real-time refrigerator contents status for chain of custody, dispensing emergency and electronically crossmatched blood products "just-in-time" at the point-of-care, and maintaining a universal AC power supply (100-240 VAC). The equipment is a lifecycle replacement for existing end-of-life equipment and has a current approved Authorization to Operate (ATO).
