ACC-RI Height Adjustable Powered Desk Cubicle Segment
(7AUG2025)
Summary:
Army Contracting Command – Rock Island (ACC-RI) has a requirement for 550 powered standing desk cubicle segments to be installed within Building 60 (second and third floors) and Building 62 (third floor). Additional requirements include:
Preparation of 550 existing cubicle spaces to remove certain components prior to installation of powered standing desk cubicle segments
Reconfiguration and Relocation of existing desk components of 550 existing cubicle spaces
Installation of powered standing desk cubicle segments Removal/haul-away of certain desk components
Specifications for desk:
Desk sizes must have a nominal dimension as specified, but with sufficient clearance not to bind on the ends. An allowable deviation from nominal dimensions of +0” to -3” is allowed on the ends to prevent binding against cubicle ends.
Quantities:
375 each 30” x 84” 175 each 30” x 72”
Desk height range shall be 25” minimum height and 46” maximum height. Desk height ranges less than 25” and more than 46” will be acceptable so long as 25”-46” range is met.
All desks shall include a minimum of three programmable heights:
1. A programmable max height limit for situations when the full range cannot be used, so that the desk cannot go above that setting unless it is changed. For example, if there is a shelf above the desk, the desk should be programable to stop the desk from hitting the shelf.
2. A programmable sitting height within height range to be set by user.
3. A programmable standing height within height range to be set by user.
All desks shall have a minimum lift capacity of 200 lbs.
Preferred finishes include: Top should be a light to medium gray, tan, or beige, preferably speckled to conceal scratches, dust, and hand prints. Matte finish is preferred to minimize the appearance of scratches, etc.
Minimum 10 year warranty. Either your commercial warranty, or you can offer a longer warranty period to be added to the contract.
Preparation Requirements:
This purchase also includes removal of existing AllSteel desk segments, including leg, joining plates, and knee braces, as well as re-configuring existing segments. In some cases, a base cabinet and pencil drawer must also be relocated from one existing desk segment to another existing desk segment. A limited number of the removed cabinet components may be stored on site, but the majority of excess components must be removed by the contractor as part of the installation/haul-away effort. Once removed and the contract is complete, ownership of these removed components transfers to the contractor and they may resell or dispose of these components.
ACC-RI employees will be responsible for boxing up any/all personal effects and may leave them boxed in the work area to be moved by the crews as necessary during installation. Reasonable precautions should be taken to reduce breakage, however, contractor is relieved from responsibility for property left in the cubicles. Employees will be encouraged to remove items if they are concerned about breakage.
Other:
Contractors must possess real ID compliant Driver’s license or photo ID, or US Passport and complete a favorable background check prior to entry on Rock Island Arsenal.
