About this file
This is a Questions and Answers document for the DOR DQ16002 Window Coverings procurement issued by the Department of Revenue. The solicitation concerns the supply of 37 window shades for an unspecified state facility. Key specifications addressed include mounting surface requirements, window height constraints, and product equivalency standards. The document clarifies that all mounting surfaces are drywall, windows are located at or below 10 feet from the floor, and bidders may propose shades from manufacturers other than Hunter Douglas provided they meet or exceed specified performance standards. The Department reserves final determination authority regarding product equivalency and whether proposed alternatives satisfy specification requirements.
The Q&A document does not address pricing terms, contract duration, award dates, set-asides, or funding sources. No information regarding bid due dates, pre-bid meetings, site visits, or incumbent contractor status is provided in this excerpt. The document focuses exclusively on technical clarifications related to the physical installation environment and acceptable product alternatives, with emphasis on the Department's discretion to evaluate comparable products against established specifications.
