About this file
This is Addendum No. 1 to a Request for Proposal issued by the Florida Department of Transportation, District Six Contracts Office, dated March 26, 2026, addressing questions received from prospective proposers regarding Public Communication Services for Miscellaneous Construction Projects in Monroe County. The addendum clarifies that the required Community Outreach Specialist will provide dedicated coverage to Monroe County rather than the Lower Keys alone, and confirms the Department's openness to proposals featuring multiple Community Outreach Specialists (such as separate specialists for the Upper and Lower Keys) to ensure adequate geographic coverage and response times. Additionally, the addendum specifies that the Lower Keys field office is currently located at 24794 Overseas Highway, Summerland, Florida, with potential for additional office locations as more projects commence. The technical proposal submission deadline remains March 31, 2026, at 10:00 AM via email to D6.Purch@dot.state.fl.us, with technical questions due by March 23, 2026, at 5:00 PM. The evaluation timeline includes a technical proposal public opening on March 31, 2026, at 2:00 PM, oral presentations on April 27, 2026, price proposal opening on May 4, 2026, at 2:00 PM, and an intended award announcement on May 11, 2026. The contract term extends from May 2026 through May 2029, with renewal options available for up to three additional years or the length of the original contract term, whichever is longer, contingent upon satisfactory performance and fund availability.
All other terms and conditions of the original Request for Proposal remain unchanged, with no modifications to pricing, contract structure, funding amounts, or compliance requirements detailed in this addendum. Proposers must continue to comply with all previously stated requirements, including registration in Florida's MyFloridaMarketPlace system by the technical proposal opening, authorization to do business in Florida, federal nondiscrimination compliance, E-Verify employment verification, and maintenance of specified insurance coverage.
