Questions Received in Response to RFP #DoDCC-2021-R-0002 –Pentagon Center Courtyard (CCY) Furniture Project dated February 18, 2021–

Amendment A001

The following questions and answers are incorporated in the RFP as set forth at length.

Q. Do we need to make another site visit, or is the scope of work for the same area as the previous solicitation that was canceled?

A. Regarding site visits, please refer to Section L., “Instructions to Offerors”, “Site Visit/Inspection”, page 34 of 36 of the RFP. Site visits are not mandatory in order for offerors to submit proposals in response to the RFP. Regarding the Scope of Work for this requirement, please refer to Section C.2., “Scope of Work”, pages 6 – 8 of 36 of the RFP. As stated in Section A.1., page 3 of 36 of the RFP, this solicitation is for the Pentagon’s Center Courtyard (CCY) only.

Q. For Section L., we had mailed in our samples, Color Boards and Artists renditions in response to the previous solicitation. Are we to resubmit these again in regards to mailing the actual physical samples?

A. Regarding samples, as this is a new requirement, samples will need to be provided as part of offerors’ proposals submitted in response to the RFP. Please refer to Section L., “Proposal Submission Requirements”, Items (3), “Color Boards and Artist Renditions” and (9), “Samples”, page 33 of 36 of the RFP.

Q. We noticed on page 10 of 36 of the RFP, under Section 3, that it references financial penalties based on performance. Would this section still apply since this procurement only relates to stand alone furniture items and not items that would be considered as a fixed part of a building like windows, elevators, electrical, etc.?

A. Please refer to Section C.3., “Penalties”, page 10 of 36 of the RFP. The resulting contract will be a performance based contract. The penalties as stated in this section of the RFP are applicable and will remain in place. Penalties will be assessed when the Contractor fails to meet the milestones/deliverables as provided and incorporated in Section C.2., “Scope of Work”, pages 6 – 10 of 36 of the RFP. There are project milestones that are required to be met as part of this requirement including fabrication/purchase of furniture; removal/disposition of existing furniture; delivery/installation of the new furniture; DoDCC inspection at completion of the project, etc.
