About this file

This document contains Questions and Answers (Q&A) related to a Request for Quote (RFQ) for Preventive and Corrective Maintenance on Automated Storage and Retrieval System (ASRS) equipment. The key points are:

The RFQ is for 15 pieces of industrial and automated material management storage and retrieval equipment (14 Modula Vertical Lift Modules and 1 Gorbel Bridge Crane) that require Preventative Maintenance (PM) and Corrective Maintenance (CM) services. Travel and supplies are addressed in the Statement of Work (SOW) and/or Combined Synopsis Solicitation, but are not being separately funded - vendors should factor travel into their hourly rates. Vendors will only be authorized to bill for actual site time, not travel time. Complete details are provided in the attached SOW and other solicitation documents.

VLM PREVENTIVE AND CORRECTIVE MAINTENANCE ON AUTOMATED STORAGE AND RETRIEVAL SYSTEM (ASRS) EQUIPMENT

Questions and Answers (Q&A)

Q1) In review of the spread sheet we do not see a line item for travel or parts. These line items were on the previous contract, should they be added to the quote? Or will DLA add it and resend?

A1) GA: Travel and Supplies are addressed in the SOW and/or Combined Synopsis Solicitation. A word search of the SOW will direct you towards the verbiage that was included for supplies/services.

Q2) In regard to having the travel/mileage included in the hourly rate can you clarify how that works.

Example:

If our tech had 3 hours travel and 2 hours site time, would we be able to charge a total of 5 hours or (2 hours site time only).

A2) GA: In the example provided above, the vendor would be authorized to bill for the 2 hours site time only. Travel is not being separately funded for this requirement. See the SOW for complete details.
