About this file
This document is a Division Two Site Work specification from the State of Michigan, specifically involving the Michigan Department of Natural Resources (DNR) for a site restoration project. A mandatory pre-bid meeting was scheduled for February 28, 2013, at 10:00 AM at the Atlanta DNR Office, where project managers would be available to answer questions and provide project site information. The scope of work includes comprehensive site restoration activities such as removing existing improvements (houses, buildings, poles, signs, fences, concrete, and asphalt), complete site grading, and final site restoration through fertilizing, seeding, and mulching.
The project involves significant site clearance and environmental preparation, with specific requirements for utility disconnection, debris removal, and site rehabilitation. Notable environmental considerations include potential lead-based paint and asbestos hazards, with explicit disclaimers that bidders are responsible for determining material content before purchase. The project will follow Michigan Department of Transportation Standard Specifications for Construction, and contractors must adhere to strict guidelines for vegetation removal, disposal, excavation, and site restoration. The State of Michigan is selling the property on an "as-is" basis, requiring thorough due diligence from potential contractors.
