About this file

This is a Geographic Information System (GIS) map file for District 1 related to Citrus County, Florida's ITB 26-013 Right-of-Way Mowing Services procurement. The map illustrates the service area boundaries and mowing routes designated for District 1 as part of a four-district countywide initiative to control vegetative growth on county rights-of-way. The District 1 Mowing Map provides spatial reference for bidders to understand the geographic scope of mowing operations, including shoulders, ditches, back-slopes, and grassed areas within that district. Bid responses were due February 4, 2026, at 2:00 pm through the OpenGov Procurement portal, with a public opening scheduled for 2:15 pm via Microsoft Teams. The contract is structured for an initial two-year term with three optional one-year renewals, contingent on satisfactory performance and fund availability, with anticipated board approval on April 28, 2026.

District 1 comprises a portion of the total 409.1 miles of service area across all four districts, with mowing cycles required 4-6 times annually between April and December. Compensation is calculated on a per-mile basis for mowing and litter pickup services, with monthly invoicing due by the 10th of each month and payment within 45 days of receipt and verification. The county has appropriated approximately $125,700 total for all four districts. Contractors must possess a minimum of two years of commercial mowing experience, maintain current Maintenance of Traffic (MOT) Intermediate Level certification, provide adequate equipment including a minimum of two tractors per district, and satisfy insurance requirements including general liability ($1,000,000 per occurrence/$2,000,000 aggregate) and workers' compensation. A local business preference of up to 5 percent is available for entities with paid local business tax at least six months prior to bid submission. Price increases after the initial term are limited to the lesser of the annual consumer price index or five percent.
