About this file
This document is a Dig Permit form for excavation work, specifically related to the HAFB Fencing project at Hill Air Force Base. The permit outlines critical safety and operational requirements for excavation, including mandatory utility marking procedures, with specific instructions for working near utilities. Key requirements include field marking excavation alignments with flags or non-permanent white paint, maintaining Red Stakes markings, and obtaining proper notifications before beginning work. The permit emphasizes safety protocols, such as mandatory hydro-vac or hand digging within 3 feet of utilities, immediate work stoppage in case of line strikes, and emergency contact procedures.
The permit is part of a broader Sources Sought Notice for a fencing services contract (Solicitation Number: FA8201-25-R-FENCING-HAFB) issued by the Department of the Air Force Materiel Command Air Force Sustainment Center. The contract is an Indefinite-Delivery Indefinite-Quantity (IDIQ) for maintenance, repair, and minor construction fence projects at Hill Air Force Base, Little Mountain Test Annex, and Utah Test and Training Range. The estimated maximum contract value is $4,000,000, with individual task orders ranging from $2,500 to $4,000,000, and a total performance period of 5 years and 6 months. The procurement is targeted at small businesses, including 8(a), Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned, HUBZone, and Women-Owned Small Business concerns.
