About this file
This document is a Data Item Description (DID) for a Syllabus, specifically numbered DI-MISC-81459B and approved on 20200422, which establishes the standardized format and content requirements for training course documentation. The DID provides a comprehensive template for creating a syllabus that covers multiple detailed sections, including course accounting, training standards, academic media, training devices, objectives, course data, facilities and resources, terminology explanations, and a curriculum outline of instruction. The document is applicable to all contracts requiring training course development and supersedes the previous version (DI-MISC-81459A), with the preparing activity being the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center (AFLCMC/WNSE). The syllabus must include extensive information such as course purpose, prerequisites, training strategy, class logistics, instructor requirements, student resources, and a detailed curriculum outline that specifies academic hours, training tasks, objectives, instructional methods, and supporting materials for aircrew, ground crew, and maintenance training positions.
