About this file

The document is a Statement of Work (SOW) for crane rental services to support the replacement of sixteen cab glass windows at the DFW-A Airport Traffic Control Tower (ATCT). The project requires a mobile crane with a licensed operator capable of lifting 12-foot tall glass units weighing up to 4,000 pounds, with a crane tip height not exceeding 278 feet above ground level. The crane vendor must perform a site visit, provide a comprehensive lift plan with CAD-generated drawings, and submit documentation including crane specifications, load charts, and operator certifications.

Key requirements include mobilizing and assembling the crane within a sixteen-day performance period, installing a white and orange checkered flag on the crane boom, using crane mats and blocking, and being responsible for any damage during mobilization. The crane must operate with a lift radius of approximately 130 feet and maintain a crane load capacity of no more than 65%. The FAA Team Lead Technician will inspect and approve the work before releasing the crane service. The project is located at the DFW-A (East) ATCT, with specific elevation details provided for precise crane positioning.
