About this file
This is a Detailed Service Level Agreement (SLA) document for the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority (MBTA) related to shuttle bus services for subway, commuter rail, and bus service disruptions. The agreement establishes performance standards and operational requirements for qualified operators selected through the RFP 105F-26 procurement. The shuttle bus services are designed to provide turnkey replacement transportation, including vehicles, drivers, and supervision during both planned maintenance events and emergency service disruptions across the MBTA's transit network. The two-year contract is estimated at approximately $120 million and will be distributed among multiple awarded vendors for various shuttle service projects throughout the contract term.
The SLA document details the specific service level expectations, performance metrics, and operational standards that vendors must maintain to ensure reliable and consistent shuttle bus service delivery. The agreement likely establishes key performance indicators, response time requirements, vehicle maintenance standards, driver qualifications, and service availability benchmarks that contractors must meet throughout the contract period. This structured approach ensures that MBTA can efficiently manage service disruptions while maintaining customer service standards across its transit system through a pre-qualified pool of capable operators.
