Scope of Work Demolish TC761 and Bldg 1042

Project #24‐0018

General Description:

This project consists of demolishing two (2) facilities – TC761 and Bldg 1042. Both facilities are known to contain hazardous materials.

Detailed Requirements:

1. Demolish the remains of each building. TC761 is still intact, Bldg 1042 is mostly piled debris.

2. Demolish all utilities and supporting infrastructure called out to be removed. Refer to attachments.

Note, the conditions shown on the attached drawings do not accurately depict the current condition;

however, the drawings provide reference to all components that need to be removed. Overall

Construction Notes still apply. Refer to attached pictures for current condition.

3. Properly abate and dispose of hazardous materials at the Camp Lejeune Landfill. See restrictions below.

4. Non‐hazardous materials may also be disposed at the Camp Lejeune Landfill. Ensure materials are not cross contaminated with asbestos containing materials.

5. Contractor is responsible for all locates. Any damage to existing utilities noted to remain shall be repaired at the contractor’s expense.

Special Scheduling and Access: Demolition and site stabilized must occur within 90 days following construction award. Coordinate scheduling and access with ROICC.

Special Conditions: Buildings contain lead and asbestos. Properly abate and dispose per all applicable federal, state, and local guidelines. Reports provided.

Landfill Restrictions:

1. No more than 140 tons of asbestos material can be accepted by the MCBCL Landfill per day.

2. Do not cross contaminate hazardous and non‐hazardous materials (specifically at TC761).

3. Rebar must be cut flush with concrete.

4. Concrete shall not be larger than 2’ x 2’x 2’ sections.

5. Loose rebar shall be cut into 12” sections and banded.

6. Asbestos deliveries shall be scheduled 2 days prior and authorized by Landfill Manager.

7. Landfill Manger reserves the right to not accept Any deliveries that were not scheduled properly.
