Deliveries must occur on Mondays and Thursdays between 7:00 am and 9:00 am, with trucks arriving at the MDC Brooklyn rear loading dock by 8:30 am. The facility is closed on Federal holidays and will not accept deliveries on those dates. The primary delivery contact is Robert Robey (RRobey@bop.gov or 718-840-5308). Contractors must comply with specific delivery requirements including palletization on 48" x 40" heavy duty red or blue block pallets with pallet wrap, maximum pallet heights of 72 inches (unless prior arrangements are made), and strict adherence to BOP National Menu Specifications. Certified religious diet items must bear the Kosher Symbol (OU) on individual packages or will be refused. All items undergo close inspection with conditional receipt allowed for three days to permit examination and testing. Items failing to meet specifications will be refused, and conditionally accepted items found unacceptable must be picked up by the vendor within one week at the vendor's expense or will be disposed of by warehouse staff. Milk may be delivered in either 70-unit or 50-unit crates. Contractor failure to meet delivery schedules without excusable delay or failure to conform to specifications will negatively impact past performance ratings and may affect future award eligibility and responsibility determinations.
