About this file

This document is an Amendment to a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) issued by the District of Columbia Department of Transportation (DDOT) for Citywide Pavement Marking Restorations Construction Management Services. The amendment responds to questions submitted by prospective offerors, including allowing proposed individuals for the resident engineer or inspector roles to obtain the required certifications by the Notice to Proceed (NTP), and changing the requirement for ATSSA pavement marking technician certification from required to preferred for the inspector role. The original RFQ solicits statements of qualifications from experienced firms to provide construction management services for the placement of pavement markings on the District's roadways, which is a federally funded, open market project with a 22% Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) subcontracting goal.

The scope of services includes assessment of the pavement marking contractor's work for compliance with District rules and regulations, maintenance of contract records, preparation of draft work orders, and provision of services on an emergency or as-needed basis. The consultant will be required to visit assigned locations accompanied by DDOT's Contract Administrator to verify the scope of work. Pricing will be negotiated for each assigned work order, which will define the scope of work and expected outcomes.
