About this file

This document is a Description of Intended Single Source Purchase (PUR 7776) from the Florida Department of Children and Families (DCF) for Trust-Based Relational Intervention (TBRI) Practitioner Training. The training is designed to be highly interactive and delivered in-person by certified practitioners to provide caregivers of children who have faced abuse, neglect, and/or trauma with the tools needed to meet the needs of these children. The training will be provided by the sole-source vendor, the Karyn Purvis Institute of Child Development, from September 1, 2022 to August 31, 2024. The total estimated dollar amount for this procurement is $544,400.

DCF has identified TBRI as an evidence-based service to be offered to new Level II enhanced foster parents through the Family First Prevention Services Act (FFPSA) Foster Home Sub-Committee. TBRI Practitioner training is a proprietary intervention that is not available from any other vendor. This service is listed on the Title IV-E Prevention Services Clearinghouse as a promising practice. Family First Transition Act funds will be utilized to cover the cost of implementing this evidence-based prevention service.
