About this file

Amendment 1 to the DARPA-PS-25-27 Rads to Watts Program Solicitation modifies the original solicitation with several key updates. The amendments include providing more detailed schedule realism in evaluation criteria, offering guidance on fundamental research, correcting attachment document titles, and updating Attachment I's milestone 1. All changes are highlighted in yellow within the original solicitation document.

The underlying Rads to Watts Program is a DARPA initiative seeking innovative proposals for converting radiation energy into electricity through radiovoltaics. The program aims to advance technologies that can scale from milliwatt-level unit cell devices to kilowatt-level power generation over relevant timescales. DARPA specifically seeks revolutionary approaches in radiation-hardened, high fluence-resilient charge-carrying materials, with a clear exclusion of research focused on incremental improvements or alternative direct conversion methods.
