About this file

The document is the Darfur Contracting Act Certification form required by the State of California for bidders on state and local government contracts. The form requires bidders to certify whether they currently have or have had within the previous three years any business activities or operations outside of the United States. Bidders must either affirm they have no such foreign operations, confirm they are a "scrutinized" company but have received written permission from the Department of General Services to bid, or certify under penalty of perjury that they are not a "scrutinized" company despite having foreign operations. This certification is mandated by California Public Contract Code Section 10478.

The form does not provide any details about a specific contract opportunity, but rather outlines the certification requirements for all bidders on state and local government contracts in California. There are no details provided about the products or services being procured, response deadlines, award information, or contract terms.
