About this file
This is a memorandum from the Department of the Air Force Animal Research Oversight and Compliance Office (AROCO) establishing an approved vendor list for Live Tissue Training (LTT) programs.
Effective January 16, 2026, eleven AAALAC International-accredited vendors have been approved for Department of the Air Force Live Tissue Training. The approved vendors are: Assessment and Training Solutions Consulting Corporation (ATSCC), F3EA Inc., Guardian Centers of Georgia, QRF U.S. LLC, Raven Medical Inc., SIMMEC Training Solutions, Stony Brook University, Tier One Group, Templar Medical, University of Alabama-Birmingham (UAB), and Wake Forest University. Approval is based on favorable reviews of each vendor's Animal Care and Use Program, animal protocol, and the DAF/SG Chief Surgical Consultant's approval of the Programs of Instruction. Vendors must maintain USDA Registration (unless otherwise exempt) and AAALAC International accreditation while maintaining strict adherence to Federal laws, Department of War, and DAF regulations. Non-compliance identified during subsequent program reviews or inspections will result in immediate suspension of approval for DAF personnel participation. The memorandum clarifies that this approval does not constitute authorization for contractual funding, which requires a Contracting Officer's authorization. All DoD-supported training contracts must include DFARS clause 252.235-7002, and agreements not subject to DFARS must contain equivalent language. Questions should be directed to usaf.afms.mbx.af-sg-research-protections@health.mil.
