Design & installation details (typical — to be finalized after field verification)
• Power poles:
• Quantity: 4 power poles placed as indicated on floor plan (owner to provide desired locations).
• Each pole shall contain enough raceway to serve adjacent cubicles (minimum one 2-1/2" internal raceway or as specified).
• Provide standard mounting and floor penetration system per architect/owner requirements.
• Provide duplex receptacles per cubicle locations: minimum one duplex per cubicle plus one dedicated at power pole for equipment as requested.
• Receptacles: specification to be standard commercial grade 20A 125V tamper resistant duplex . Install isolated ground receptacles where required for computer/IT loads if requested.
• Outlet placement per layout: at each cubicle work surface height and at top/bottom of pole as required for equipment.
• Include identification/labeling on each pole circuit.
Subpanel:
• Provide 120 V subpanel located where indicated on drawings (or within X feet of main per field conditions). Size to be determined by load calculation; contractor to submit sizing and single-line diagram for approval prior to purchase.
• Typical recommendation (example only): a 60 A, 120 V subpanel with 6–12 spaces (final sizing pending load calc) — contractor must verify actual load and main panel available capacity.
• Feeder conductors: copper conductors in conduit size Overcurrent protection: feeder breaker in the main panel sized per feeder ampacity; branch circuit breakers sized per branch loads (20A general branch circuits typical for cubicle receptacles).
• Provide neutral and ground bus arrangement per code; bond as required.
• Provide panel labeling and directory.
• Branch circuiting recommendation (example: finalize after load calc)
• Provide 3 x 20A branch circuits to serve the 10 cubicles (typical distribution: 3–4 cubicles per 20A circuit) or as required by load calculation and owner preference.
• All branch circuits to be AFCI/GFCI protected if required by code; comply with manufacturer and local requirements.
• Separate circuits for dedicated equipment (printers, monitors, servers) as required.
