About this file
This document is a Contractor Certification form for the Immigration and Nationality Act of 1952, as amended, specifically related to a Department of Veterans Affairs contract. The certification requires the contractor to comply with legal provisions concerning non-immigrant foreign nationals working under contract, including strict requirements to not knowingly employ illegal aliens or foreign nationals in violation of their immigration status.
The document mandates full compliance with E-Verify requirements under Executive Order 12989 and applicable Federal Acquisition Regulations. The Department of Veterans Affairs reserves the right to prohibit non-compliant foreign nationals from working at the contractor's facility servicing VA patient referrals, and may terminate the contract for breach if immigration employment regulations are violated. The contractor must also obtain similar certifications from their subcontractors, with a warning that making false certifications may result in prosecution under 18 U.S.C. 1001.
