[D] County_Holidays.pdf

This document is a holiday observance schedule for Cecil County, Maryland, in conjunction with a sewer pump maintenance and repair services contract (IFB B-24-010). The county observes thirteen official holidays throughout the calendar year, including New Year's Day, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr's Birthday, President's Day, Memorial Day, Juneteenth, Independence Day, Labor Day, Columbus Day, Election Day (in even years), Veterans Day, Thanksgiving Day, American Indian Heritage Day, and Christmas Day. Certain holidays designated with an asterisk are observed on Monday when they fall on weekends. The Department of Public Works, Solid Waste Division (Central Landfill) maintains operations on American Indian Heritage Day despite its designation as a county holiday. An official comprehensive list of county holidays is available annually upon request.

The holiday schedule serves as administrative guidance for county operations and contractor activities associated with the on-call sewer pump maintenance and repair services agreement. The document does not contain pricing, set-asides, funding information, or other contractual terms. The schedule is intended to clarify which days county facilities and services will be closed or operating under modified schedules, which may impact project timelines, deliveries, and service availability for contractors engaged in county work.
