About this file

This document is a Competition Impracticable (CI) Authorization form for a contract between the Arizona Department of Health Services (ADHS), Bureau of Women & Children's Health (BWCH), and the Mohave County Health Department. The document relates to the Health Start Program and involves extending a previously awarded contract under solicitation BPM002372, with the primary purpose of maintaining continuity of services during an 18-day gap in contract coverage.

The contract is for healthcare services valued at approximately $10,045.48, focusing on a home visitation program targeting communities with high rates of maternal and infant mortality. The Health Start Program utilizes community health workers to provide education, support, and advocacy services to pregnant and postpartum women and their families. The original contract was awarded on July 6, 2020, with an option to renew annually for up to five years. This particular authorization addresses an administrative oversight that resulted in a brief contract lapse, with pricing considered fair and reasonable as no changes were made to the original contract terms. The contract is specifically aimed at developing administrative, management, and referral networks to implement the Health Start Program at the contracted site.
