About this file
This document is a Commercial Solutions Opening (CSO) Area of Interest (AoI) for Track Pin and Bushing Manufacturing issued by Army Contracting Command-Red River Army Depot (ACC-RRAD). The CSO seeks innovative solutions for designing, manufacturing, and installing a new tracked military vehicle track pin and bushing manufacturing process at Red River Army Depot's Rubber Products Division. The facility requires advanced manufacturing capabilities to produce approximately 170K, 70K, and 60K pins per year across different specifications, with production to occur in a 25,000 square foot indoor space and potential 10,000 square foot outdoor storage area.
Key submission requirements include a written solution brief emailed by 5:00 PM CDT on 30 Nov 2025 to specified Army email addresses. The manufacturing process must meet extensive technical standards covering metal pin fabrication and rubber bushing fabrication, including precise dimensional tolerances, material specifications, quality inspection protocols, and compliance with multiple military and ASTM standards. Interested companies must be registered in sam.gov, and the CSO is authorized under Section 803 of the National Defense Authorization Act for FY2022, with awards subject to fund availability and successful negotiations. The solicitation is part of the Army's Organic Industrial Base (OIB) Modernization effort to enhance defense manufacturing capabilities.

1.3 Fully Developed Track Pin and Bushing Manufacturing Process RRAD is interested in a Commercial Solutions Offerings (CSO) for the design, manufacture, and installation of a tracked military vehicle track pin and bushing manufacturing process. We are looking for advanced manufacturing capabilities to develop a new process at RRAD to allow the capability of producing quality track pins and their bushings organically at this facility.
At a minimum RRAD is requesting that a new track pin/bushing process be able to produce pins and bushings to the specifications listed in the drawings.
