District of Columbia Courts Health Unit

1. We have been contacted by General Contractors to provide furniture pricing for the

Health Unit Project at the H. Carl Moultrie Building. The question that that needs to be answered, hopefully by you, is who is buying the furniture…DC Courts or the General

Contractor as a part of their package? The GC will be responsible for the purchase of the furniture.

2. Is there a DC Courts preferred vendor for the FFE scope of work? We do not have a preferred vendor. We have used Price Modern in the past. As long as the exact make and model of furniture is acquired. NO Substitutes.

3. Is there a DC Courts preferred vendor for the interior signage scope of work? We do not have a preferred vendor. We have used Art Display in the past. *THIS IS

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION PROVIDED TO THE PREVIOUS RESPONSE

HAS BEEN MADE UNDER AMENDMENT 0001.

4. Who is responsible for the following trades - Data and telecommunications, Access

Control, FAS scope of work?

Data wiring is the GC’s responsibility. Telecommunication wiring is the GC’s responsibility; actual equipment on the desk is DC Courts. Access Control is by Tyco.

The Fire Alarm System is the responsibility of the GC. The GC will need to coordinate with the building maintenance contractor for final connections only.

5. We need additional verification on the below listed item:

Who is responsible to move the existing FFE and the contents in all the areas of construction?

All personal contents will be removed prior to demolition. All existing furniture not marked as salvaged is to be removed by the contractor.

6. STAGING AREA: Please confirm that the area currently occupied by other Contractors at the building entrance will be made available to the General Contractor for staging and dumpster placement. The area of construction is the only area being provided for staging.

7. BUILDING PERMIT: Please confirm that the Building Permit will be provided by DC

Courts at no cost to the General Contractor. This statement is correct.

8. ATTACHMENT J.14 BID / OFFER BREAKDOWN: Could DC Courts provide a blank copy of the Bid/Offer Breakdown Sheet for the General Contractor’s use.

The Bid/Offer Breakdown sheet is Attachment J.13. Please see the soft copy excel sheet of Attachment J.13 Bid/Offer Breakdown Sheet to this IFB, for your use.

9. Please send via email a bidders/plan holders list for this project, and can you please confirm if the bid date remains the same. If you unable to email the bidders/plan holders list, it can also be faxed to. The attached Pre-bid Conference sheet containing Potential

Bidders and DC Court Stakeholders was included under Amendment #0001, issued

September 6, 2017. Please see Attachment B provided again through this

Amendment #0002.
