About this file
This is an Addendum No. 1 to an Invitation to Bid issued by Long Beach Utilities for Corrosion Control and Cathodic Protection. The addendum, dated February 11, 2026, and prepared by Erin Reyes, provides clarifications to the original ITB based on questions submitted by prospective bidders. The bid items are for inventory purposes only and do not relate to a specific project with plans and specifications. Bidders are required to acknowledge receipt of this addendum by signing and returning it with their quote.
The addendum addresses five key clarifications: cathodic protection wires must have a minimum wall thickness of 100 mil rather than the 30 mil or 45 mil options originally questioned; the fiberglass rectifier cabinet has no preferred manufacturer but shall measure approximately 57" H x 25" W x 19" D; for tape primer adhesive, bidders shall provide alternative quotes compatible with Polyken 900 series pipe wrap due to California restrictions on Polyguard 601; Apitong material shall be sized at 2" x 8" x 14"; and clarification that these line items constitute inventory purchases without accompanying project plans or specifications.
