Orange County, Florida is seeking sealed responses for the Emergency Corrections Security Package Building F, M & N Dorm Doors and Locks (Project Y22-7023), with an estimated project cost of $550,000.00. The project involves door replacement and security upgrades for three dormitory buildings at the Orange County Corrections facility. Sealed offers will be accepted electronically via the OpenGov e-Procurement Platform until 4:00 pm EST on Tuesday, June 28, 2022. Bidders are required to submit responses exclusively through the designated electronic platform, with hand-delivery, mail, telephone, fax, and email submissions being explicitly prohibited.
The project involves comprehensive door replacement and security system modifications, focusing on sliding detention doors, frames, and associated hardware in Buildings F, M, and N. The specifications detail extensive requirements for door mechanisms, including modular retrofit style devices, variable speed motors, and integrated monitoring systems. Contractors must meet specific qualifications, including experience with detention facility projects, and comply with strict security protocols such as background checks for all personnel. The work includes replacing existing sliding cell doors, cross-corridor doors, and door operating mechanisms, with requirements for precise installation, testing, and integration with existing detention monitoring and control systems.
