About this file

The document is a Department of Transportation Contractor's Release Form (DOT F 4220.4), which is a standard legal release document used to discharge government liability after contract completion. The form allows a contractor to release the United States government from further claims related to a specific contract, with provisions for retaining rights to certain types of future claims, such as patent-related issues or unknown third-party liabilities. The form requires the contractor's signature, potentially corporate verification, and serves as a final contractual closure document.

The related federal contract opportunity is a competitive solicitation by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) for refurbishing the low-level wind shear alert system (LLWAS) at Tallahassee International Airport (TLH). The procurement is a small business set-aside with a firm fixed-price contract, anticipated award by November 5, 2025. A mandatory site visit is scheduled for October 23, 2025, at 0900 local time, with Real ID required for attendance. Potential offerors must submit questions by October 27, 2025, via email to Stephen.N.Branch@faa.gov, and proposals are due by the November 5, 2025 deadline.
