About this file

The document is a Contractor Security Acknowledgement Form from the State of South Dakota's Bureau of Information Technology (BIT), outlining information technology security policy compliance requirements for contractors. The form requires contractors to acknowledge and agree to protect the state's non-public technology infrastructure and information assets, follow state and federal data confidentiality regulations, and adhere to BIT's security policy. Contractors must understand that access to state technology infrastructure is a privilege that can be revoked, and any policy violations may result in privilege termination or contract breach.

The security acknowledgement form is related to a specific state contract opportunity (RFP #25RFP14102) for the South Dakota Department of Agriculture and Natural Resources' Office of Water, which seeks to convert water rights and water use databases from Microsoft FoxPro to an ESRI GIS-centric database solution. The two-year contract involves converting approximately 16,000 water rights and 4,000 irrigation water use records, with potential for ongoing professional services. The hosting solution can be implemented locally by the state, in the contractor's cloud, or through a hybrid approach. Proposals are due by 5:00 PM Central Time on May 9, 2025, with vendor inquiries accepted via email to Ron Duvall. The converted data will remain the property of the State of South Dakota, and the project requires robust features such as single sign-on integration, role-based security, and direct integration with ArcGIS Pro.
