CONCESSION OPPORTUNITY ANNOUNCEMENT
Operation of the Campground at Glendale Fish & Wildlife Area, Montgomery, IN Daviess County

The Setting Glendale Fish & Wildlife Area is dedicated to providing quality hunting and fishing opportunities while maintaining 8,060 acres of property with over 1,400 acres of lakes and impoundments.
Acquisition of the land which comprises Glendale Fish & Wildlife Area began in 1956, and land purchases were made through the 1960’s. Several minor purchases were made in the 1970’s. The construction of the dam that formed Dogwood Lake began in 1963 and was completed in 1965. The lake was renovated in 1978 and restocked with fish in 1979. Average depth of Dogwood Lake is eight feet.
Most revenues used in land acquisition, development, operation and maintenance of Glendale Fish & Wildlife Area are derived from the sale of hunting, fishing and trapping licenses. Funds are also received from the federal Pittman-Robertson and Dingell-Johnson programs to aid fish and wildlife restoration. These funds are derived from taxes levied on sport hunting and fishing equipment. Indiana hunters and fishermen are proud to provide this property for the enjoyment of all people.
Property Activities Fishing-Glendale Fish & Wildlife Area provides over 1,400 acres of available water, including 22 ponds and Dogwood Lake No Check-in is required for fishing. Some areas including Dogwood Lake are restricted or closed during waterfowl seasons Primary species include catfish, crappie, bluegill, redear and largemouth bass Motor restrictions: on Dogwood Lake there is a 10 mph limit that is enforced; all other impoundments on the property are restricted to oars or trolling motors.
Shoreline fishing and fishing piers are located on Dogwood Lake Hunting-Deer, quail, squirrel, dove, woodcock, waterfowl and wild turkey are common at Glendale Fish & Wildlife Area Trapping-Wetland trapping is available through drawing only Camping/Boating Campground includes 67 Class A sites with electrical outlets and 54 Class B sites.

2025 Concession Revenue: $124,987.63 This Concession Opportunity Announcement is intended to publicize the availability of the contracting opportunities described herein and poster per Indiana Department of Administration (IDOA) guidelines and Indiana procurement code enacted by Senate Enrolled Act (SEA) 5 effective July 1, 2025.

Services to be Provided
· Rental of campsites
· Mowing of the campground area
· Cleaning of comfort station and campground vault toilets
· Cleaning of Fish Cleaning Station
· Litter control in campground
· Maintenance in campground area and comfort stations:
· Maintenance of campground electric pedestals, replacement of breakers and outlets.
· Maintenance, repair and replacement of campground picnic tables.
· Cleaning of campsite field drains/covers.
· Daily cleaning of the comfort station, fish cleaning station and two vault toilets located in the campground and cleaning of fire rings.
· Tree trimming and removal of dead or hazardous limbs.
· Replacement of lights in comfort station and fish cleaning station.
· Replacement /repair of electrical fixtures, outlets, switches and breakers in the comfort station.
· Repair of toilets/urinals, leaking gaskets, wax rings/O-rings, sink drains/traps and faucets.
· Repair and maintenance of outside drinking fountains
· Maintenance of comfort station water hydrants
· Maintenance of vault toilets and interior fixtures
· Pumping of vault toilets in campground
· Mowing and trash pickup in campground
· Spring opening, end of season closing/winterizing of comfort station, fish cleaning station and dump station.
· Patrol and policing campground.
· Payment of utility bills for water, electricity, phones, gas, septic hauling and trash removal.
The concessionaire will have the opportunity to handle retailing of camping and fishing essentials and supplies: firewood, ice, bait and other supplies. A campsite can be made available for the concession operations. Vendor will post Statement of days and hours of operation. Hours of operation must be approved by the property management and must be sufficient to provide for the collection of camping fees. Additional hours should be provided on holiday weekends and high use periods in the spring and fall.
