About this file
This is a Minimum Requirement Document for a Gantner Data Acquisition (DAQ) System Upgrade dated 16 March 2026. The Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL/RQVV) at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio requires a comprehensive upgrade and expansion of its existing Gantner DAQ system located in Building 65's Full Scale Structural Facility (FSSTF). The system is essential for structural validation testing of aerospace components, capturing data streams including temperature, load, displacement, and strain measurements to assess component behavior under operational and extreme conditions.
The contractor shall provide specified Gantner hardware components including four Q.raxx XL A136 Bridge Modules (32 CH), twenty-three Q.raxx XL slimline A116 Bridge Modules (4 CH), eleven Q.raxx XL A108 Voltage Measurement Modules (8 CH), and fifty-one Q.raxx XL A104 TCx Thermocouple Modules (8 CH). Additional required items include eight Q.raxx XL D101 Digital Input Modules, eight 19-inch Rack Units, seven Q.raxx x Station T SSD-1TB Industrial Controllers, two Q.core 201 3HU EtherCAT Industrial Controllers, serial cables in various configurations (2 Q.raxx UART, 12 Q.series-X UART DB-Binder, 24 Q.Series-X Slimline UART CON), fifty Q.bloxx Terminal SR A103/A108 Current Shunt Blocks, twelve Q.term-X SL BA 50Ohm Serial Buss Terminating Resistors, ninety-six Q.raxx cover plate Blank Panels, and six GI.bench Configuration Software Dongles.

Minimum Requirement Document
Gantner DAQ System Upgrade
16 March 2026
Scope:
The Air Force Research Laboratory's (AFRL/RQVV) requires a comprehensive upgrade and expansion of its existing Gantner Data Acquisition (DAQ) system in Building 65’s Full Scale Structural Facility
(FSSTF) at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio.
Background:
The Air Force Research Laboratory's (AFRL/RQVV) structural validation testing relies on advanced Data
Acquisition (DAQ) systems to meticulously monitor aerospace components. These systems are crucial for capturing a comprehensive range of data streams, including temperature, load, displacement, and strain measurements. By analyzing this information, RQVV effectively assesses the behavior of these components under both operational and extreme conditions. This rigorous evaluation process enables
RQVV to validate the structural integrity and performance of critical aerospace technologies, ensuring their reliability and safety.
