About this file
This Addendum No. 1 clarifies specifications for the Colonial School District's Request for Proposal for Physical Therapy Services (RFP# 4-26-65) in Delaware, with proposals due on April 29, 2026, at 2:00 PM. The District seeks qualified vendors to provide physical therapy services during the regular school year, operating on a calendar of 188 school days annually with 7.0-hour school days. The contract period runs from August 3, 2026, through August 3, 2027, with renewal options available for subsequent years subject to District review and acceptance. The District anticipates approximately 25 contracted therapy positions across multiple disciplines, though specific volumes vary year to year. Award is expected approximately one month following bid opening, with vendors required to guarantee the availability of qualified therapists by August 4, 2026. Electronic signatures are acceptable on bid documents, and the District does not require resumes as part of submissions.
Pricing must be submitted as an hourly rate for all services with all administrative costs incorporated, and vendors must provide a detailed budget outlining service costs and the optimal number of students they can serve. Previous vendors have provided services at varying rates, ranging from $62.50 to $91.04 per hour depending on discipline and experience level. The District prefers in-person service delivery, though teletherapy equipment specifications remain undetermined at this time. Vendors must maintain general liability and professional liability insurance with minimum coverage of $1,000,000, provide three business references (excluding current District personnel), and obtain a Certificate of Insurance prior to commencing work. The District reserves the right to award contracts to multiple vendors to ensure adequate service coverage and may terminate any contract with 30 days' written notice without early termination charges. Bid deposits and performance bonds are waived.
