About this file

This is a Task Assignment (TA) document issued by the State of Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP) to Wood Environment & Infrastructure Solutions, Inc. under underlying Contract Number HW688. The task assignment is identified as DC008A and involves services for the Bay Laundry & Cleaners site located at 205 E Bay Street, Wauchula, Hardee County, Florida. The FDEP Department Project Manager is Ginger Shirah, and the Contractor's Project Manager is Geoffrey Schaefer. The task assignment was executed on July 11, 2022, with final authorization by William E. Burns, Jr., Secretary or Designee, on July 7, 2022.

The contractor is authorized to generate a Site Assessment Work Plan (SAWP) for the referenced drycleaning facility in accordance with a detailed task list. Compensation is structured as a fixed unit rate of $5,000.00, representing the total task assignment value. The deliverable—a completed Site Assessment Work Plan and project management—is due on October 17, 2022. Invoice payment of the full $5,000.00 is contingent upon submittal and FDEP approval of the Site Assessment Work Plan and project management completion (Subtasks 1 & 2). The SAWP task list specifies three major phases: site review (including information portal and document review), site visit (including completion of a drycleaning site visit checklist and operator interviews), and SAWP deliverables (including site narratives, figures, sampling plans, schedules, and cost estimate worksheets). The statement of work explicitly requires PFAS screening inclusion and prohibits inclusion of ERIC or HASP documents, EDR or ESA-like reports, offsite property owner surveys, and potable well surveys.
