Proposed Scope of Work Blue Ribbon Cleaners Annual Groundwater Sampling Task Assignment DC011I ERIC_5462 (Former FAC ID No. 599500616) APTIM Environmental & Infrastructure, Inc.
4/2/20
The former Blue Ribbon Cleaners facility is sampled on an annual basis. The following proposed scope of work for Task Assignment DC011I is collection and sampling of groundwater samples from two (2) monitoring wells. The groundwater sampling will be scheduled for June 2020.
The wells were selected in accordance with the recommendations from the most recent Well Redevelopment and Sampling Report dated January 17, 2020, prepared for the Blue Ribbon Cleaners and approved by the FDEP on March 25, 2020. The following wells are recommended for annual sampling: MW006 and MW009. Monitoring well MW002 was also recommended in the report but was eliminated from annual sampling by the FDEP based on the upgradient location and previous results being below target analytes over the past few years.
Prior to groundwater sample collection, depth to water measurements will be collected from all monitor wells. Groundwater samples from the monitoring wells will be collected in accordance with the DEP Standard Operating Procedures for Field Activities utilizing a peristaltic pump and a field-calibrated YSI multi-parameter instrument. The samples will be delivered to a NELAP Certified Laboratory for volatile organic halocarbons (VOHs) analysis by EPA Method 8260 (halocarbons only).
Purge water will be placed into a drum for storage onsite and future pickup and disposal.
Erwin Remediation has been selected to provide IDW transportation and disposal, based on bids procured in October 2019 for the previous Blue Ribbon Cleaners task. The analytical results from the monitoring wells will be used for characterization of the waste.
An Annual Groundwater Sampling Report will be provided summarizing the groundwater measurements and analytical results in tables, figures and text including conclusions and recommendations. APTIM recommends the following schedule:
Description Due Date
Collection of GW Samples 6/27/2020
Submit Letter Report 8/14/2020
Submit GIS/Data Base Update 8/14/2020
Task Expiration Date 10/30/2020
APTIM proposes to perform this scope of work in accordance with the terms and conditions of the contract executed between APTIM Environmental & Infrastructure, Inc.
and Florida Department of Environmental Protection No. HW554. APTIM will begin the proposed scope of work upon written authorization.
Please call should you have any questions.
