Proposed Scope of Work Quarterly NAM Sampling Former Dry Clean USA (Anderson Rd) Task Assignment DC007G Site ID No. ERIC_4747 (Former Facility ID No. 299502075) APTIM Environmental & Infrastructure, Inc.
5/10/2021
Based on the findings and FDEP review of the recent Biennial Groundwater Sampling Report dated March 19, 2021, it was recommended that conventional groundwater sampling be initiated at the site to determine if groundwater concentrations have achieved No Further Action conditions under Natural Attenuation Monitoring. As recommended by the FDEP, the three passive diffusion bag (PDB) samplers and associated harnesses installed within monitoring wells MW001, MW003 and MW004 will be removed and each well will be sampled conventionally.
The proposed Task Assignment includes two (2) quarterly groundwater sampling events. Each sampling event will include opening the wells to equilibrate for the collection of depth-to-groundwater measurements (MW001 through MW005) and the collection of groundwater samples (conventionally) from monitoring wells MW001, MW003 and MW004, as recommended in the recent biennial report and stipulated in the October 17, 2011 FDEP Deliverable Review. The samples will be submitted for analysis by EPA Method 8260 for volatile organic halocarbons (VOHs).
Quarterly Sampling Reports will be provided summarizing the groundwater measurements and analytical results in Tables, Figures and Text including conclusions and recommendations. In addition, in the event both groundwater sampling events are reported below NFA criteria, Subtask 4 will allow for conversion of the Quarterly #2 report to include the requirements of a SRCR. Although an effort will be made to describe previous remedial actions to address soil closure of the site, please note that a MAGS survey performed in 2007 indicated a possible unsaturated contaminant source remains in an organic layer between 3 and 5 ft bls. Therefore, it is possible that, based on the review, soil samples may be necessary to demonstrate that SCTLs have been achieved or that any remaining VOHs do not constitute a source of groundwater contamination by direct leachability testing by the Synthetic Precipitation Leaching Procedure (SPLP), as noted in the recent Biennial Report.
APTIM recommends the following schedule:
