Subtask 1: Existing Roof Assessment

Description:

• JGP shall perform site visits to obtain information regarding the existing roof system and conditions. It is anticipated that 2 trips will be required for this task.

• It is anticipated up to four (4) roof cuts and pull-off tests will be performed on the existing roof to verify existing roof conditions. The cuts will consist of approximately 12" square cuts. If moisture is encountered it will be documented. The areas will be patched with roofing material and cement.

• Observations of the underside of the roof and supporting elements will be performed, if possible.

Information obtained from this task could modify the requirements of anticipated re-roofing system. If conditions are uncovered that will require the removal and replacement of existing roofing or structural elements, modifications to the project may be required.

Deliverable: A pdf of the CADD layout with the locations and cross-sections of the existing roof cut outs will be provided to BDC for review. The approximate layout of the structural elements will be noted. A summary of the existing roof system profile, including information of areas impacted by moisture intrusion will be provided for each cut out. Photographs of the cut-outs and information regarding the pull tests will be provided. This information will be provided within 4 weeks after receipt of execution of the Task Assignment.

Performance Measure: Deliverables will be reviewed by the Department to confirm they are complete, accurate, and timely.
