The annual meetings ideally will be in person - coinciding if posssible with the CMS Quality Conference

The national resource hub is a component of the current NCC Website and can be directly accessed by the public including the bidders.

13 1.A.3 Please describe the intended difference between the annual NPFE-LAN and the NPFE- LAN Summit.

NPFE-LAN Summit is a meeting where topics identified through the NPFE-LAN are shared with patients and other stakeholders from the ESRD community at large

13 1.B Please provide additional detail or reference to the Patient Contact Utility (PCU); who supports this database?

The ESRD NCC would be expected to host and support this database

13 Subtask 1.B Who is the curent PCU vendor? What is the current operating system and/or software requirements and specifications for the PCU? What is the current NCC's responsibility related to maintainence/upgrades to the PCU system?

The PCU is maintained on a Microsoft Access database. Offeror would have to have an operating system that is compatible.

13 Subtask 1.B. With reference to the dedicated server, this this server to be provided by the NCC or does this reference a CMS dedicated server? If NCC provided, please provide information on requirements for storage size, etc.

The PCU will be compatible to the government furnished property.

14 Subtask 1.B.2 Will CMS play a role in the selection the Independent Third Party Administrator? Should the bidder propose their TPA solution in this bid? Will CMS provide the name of the current TPA?

The Offeror will select the TPA for this work

CMS has proposed this number. These participants will be randomly selected amongst grievants.

can these activities be combined for efficiency or is there a different intention?

The HAI Affinity groups are a group of people linked by a common interest or single purpose (i.e. development of a specific educational tool) ususally a subgroups of the LAN. Where as the HAI LAN is a group of diverse national stakeholders who come together around the common theme or project (HAI), joining resources to identify problems and solutions to barriers that are interfering with the attainment of quality care for dialysis patients.

27 Subtask 3.A Who is the current ESRD QIP Contractor? Do they maintain the ESRD QIP Data Warehouse? What protocals will the NCC use to access this site?

The QIP Data Warehouse is not the responsibility of the NCC. CMS will ensure that the NCC has access to relevant ESRD data.

28 Task 4.A What is the current status of the NCC Data Warehouse? Can CMS provide a listing of the names and size of files housed in the current warehouse?

The NCC Data Warehouse will be transitioned. It is maintained in a virtual environment

--Upon review of the ESRDNCC.org site, the directory appears to be a PDF form, but I don’t see where information can be submitted for updating. Can the submission form be an online form for individual entry?

45 Subtask 8.A "Using the online utility located on the ESRD NCC website…" --Is this in reference to the “Secure Login” area?

The ESRD NCC is the main website for the ESRD community and is accessed frequently. The portal has a separate sign-in function.

What is the expectation of the new contractor's site?

The new contractor will maintain the site which currently functions in a storage capacity

49 Subtask 10.A Technical support/Help desk: Please provide the average number of calls received each day. Is this in support for technical help, clinical help, or both?

A very minimal amount of calls are received by this help desk

50 Subtask 10.B Are all the bulleted items in this subtask to be created by the new contractor or are they in existance currently and will be transitioned from the incumbent?

The items are in existence and will be transistioned but will be updated by the ESRD NCC as updates occur

53 Subtask 11.B For budgeting purposes, can you please provide information on the quantitiy represented by a three month supply of each of the required materials and the costs associated with ordering any not produced by the NCC?

This will vary with the number of patients in the US that become ESRD prevalent in a three month span.

3rd bullet: The ESRD NCC CoP call is referenced, but a task to conduct an NCC CoP call is not specified in the SOW. Is the contractor expected to host a monthly ESRD NCC CoP call or is this call only specific to NPFE LAN work?

ESRD NCC is expected to conduct CoP calls minimally every other month and/or as necessary to relay relevant information to ESRD Networks UPDATE to PAGE 57 SOW and SOD #159 and 160

4.A/Page 28 Subtask 4.A Data Warehouse Subtask 1.C specifies that an ESRD NCC Data Warehouse already exists. Subtask 4.A, first sentence, specifies that the contractor shall establish a data warehouse. Would this be a second data warehouse or the existing data warehouse that would be maintained?

What is the platform/tools used to establish or maintain the data warehouse?

There is not a second data warehouse. The ESRD NCC contractor is expected to maintain and update the existing warehouse.

The SOW does not specifically state that the NCC contractor will be performing development work to create the web-based portal for PCU data collection. Will the NCC contractor perform the development work for the new web-based portal?
