About this file
This is Addendum No. 1 to the bid documents for the Centennial Middle School Site Renovations project (Project #260416-02) issued by Centennial School District in Portland, Oregon, dated April 10, 2026. The addendum revises the bid form to add Alternate #1 for the installation of an owner-furnished covered play shelter and modifies drawing specifications to require the contractor to provide and install six picnic tables (five with 4 seats and one with 3 seats to meet ADA requirements) using the Belson Outdoors Model CA46R-I specification. The sealed bid due date remains unchanged at Thursday, April 16, 2026, at 2:00 p.m., with submission to the Centennial School District Office at 18135 SE Brooklyn Street, Portland, Oregon 97236. The project scope includes comprehensive site renovations with an estimated construction cost of $300,000, scheduled to begin no earlier than June 15, 2026, with substantial completion required by August 28, 2026. A non-mandatory pre-bid conference was held on April 7, 2026, with an attendance record and agenda included as attachments. The anticipated contract award date is April 22, 2026.
Alternate #1 pricing covers the unloading of the owner-provided covered play shelter kit, installation of concrete and rebar footings, and all associated labor, equipment, and supervision for erection, with shop drawings to be provided at a later date and allowance for change orders for unforeseen components or challenges. If the alternate is not accepted, the contractor must coordinate access for a district-provided installer. Bidders must be registered with the Oregon Construction Contractors Board and comply with Oregon prevailing wage requirements under ORS 279C.800 et seq., submit a 5% bid security, and provide first-tier subcontractor disclosure within two working hours after bid closing for subcontractors representing 5% of the total bid or $15,000 (whichever is greater) or $350,000 regardless of percentage. Performance and payment bonds are required in the full amount of the contract, with liquidated damages assessed at $500 per calendar day for delays beyond the contract completion deadline. The revised bid form includes representations and certifications regarding Oregon business registration, Oregon preference for Oregon goods and services, prevailing wage compliance, Construction Contractors Board registration, subcontractor registration, and non-discrimination in subcontracting.
