About this file
This document is a Clarification document for Macomb Community College's RFP 6417 for Cisco IPT/SIP Telephony Managed Services located in Warren, Michigan. The RFP seeks a managed services provider for telecommunications infrastructure, specifically covering Cisco telephony systems with remote and limited on-site support. The scope includes maintaining current Cisco system versions and supporting future upgrades, with a requirement for 24/7 monitoring and response. The college expects vendors to provide comprehensive support, including endpoint administration, with an anticipated 99.5% uptime service level agreement. Mandatory on-site requirements exist, with the college historically requiring on-site engineer visits two to three times per year.
The current telecommunications environment includes 2,691 CUWL Enhanced licenses, 6 Enhanced Plus licenses, and 270 Essential licenses. The infrastructure comprises Cisco VG/Gateway models including one Cisco 3825, one Cisco 2821, one Cisco 3725, and 45 VG204 units, along with two BE7k servers deployed across data centers. The RFP allows current vendors to bid and does not specify a minimum engineer headcount or budget range. Financial penalties may be applied for failing to meet the uptime SLA, and the college requires vendors to maintain a U.S.-registered entity or local office, with offshore teams permitted but subject to specific operational constraints. Vendors must be prepared to align support services with the college's operational needs while providing comprehensive telecommunications management.
