About this file
This document is a Market Research Questionnaire issued by the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Land and Maritime for a potential Long-Term Contract (LTC) for NSN 1005-01-505-1035, specifically a BOLT, BREECH item. The market research seeks to gather information from potential suppliers about their capabilities, manufacturing status, and interest in a five-year contract with potential pricing mechanisms including firm fixed price with escalation rates or an Economic Price Adjustment (EPA).
Key details include a request for suppliers to complete the questionnaire within 5 business days, with requirements for traceability, potential first article testing, and various certifications such as Joint Certification Program, NADCAP for phosphate coating, and Directorate of Defense Trade Controls registration. The solicitation targets manufacturers and distributors of small arms and ordnance accessories, with a focus on understanding market conditions, commercial item status, production capabilities, and willingness to provide detailed cost or pricing data. The contract will be for a National Stock Number (NSN) related to breech bolts, likely for military equipment.
