About this file

This Change Order Notice relates to the extension of a Joint Purchase Master Contract (JPMC) for Personal Protection and Safety administered by the Illinois Department of Central Management Services (CMS). The contract, referenced as 19-416CMS-BOSS4-P-11818, is being extended until June 30, 2026, to allow additional time for CMS to complete the solicitation process for a replacement contract. The original contract term began on December 4, 2019, and was scheduled to expire on December 3, 2022. A renewal term extended the contract through December 3, 2025, which was subsequently extended to April 30, 2026. The current extension to June 30, 2026, represents a continued provision of protection and safety equipment to government units and qualified not-for-profit agencies throughout Illinois.

This extension is not a competitive solicitation and is being issued as a change order notice that does not increase contract costs by more than $25,000 or extend the time of completion by 180 days or more in aggregate. The extension allows the incumbent contractor to continue providing protection and safety equipment while CMS finalizes procurement procedures for a new master contract. This modification is considered germane to the original contract terms and addresses the administrative need to ensure continuity of service during the transition to a new procurement vehicle.
