The certification applies to the West 44th Avenue and Tabor Street Signal Poles project, which involves construction of a new four-way traffic signal at the intersection of Tabor Street and W 44th Avenue, including installation of the traffic signal system, reconstruction of ADA curb ramps at each corner, and associated signage and pavement striping improvements. Construction is anticipated to begin in late summer or early fall, subject to scheduling and contract award.
The certification requires that all vendors certify compliance with the Keep Jobs in Colorado Act by employing Colorado labor to perform at least 80% of the work on the public works project, as defined in C.R.S. 8-19-102(2) and regulated under H.B. 13-1292, effective January 1, 2014. Failure to comply with the Act constitutes breach of contract, subjecting the vendor to termination and liability for actual and consequential damages to the City of Wheat Ridge. The certification requires the vendor's authorized signature, corporate attestation by the corporate secretary or equivalent, and submission with the bid.
