About this file
This is a Certificate Regarding Lobbying form issued by the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) for Hillsborough County Public Schools in Florida relating to a point-of-sale terminals and peripherals procurement for Student Nutrition Services. The certificate serves as a compliance document certifying that the bidder and any subcontractors have not engaged in lobbying activities prohibited under federal regulations. The form requires the authorized official of the bidding organization to certify compliance with federal restrictions on the use of federal funds for lobbying purposes, including contacts with federal officials and related communications.
The certificate is a mandatory federal compliance requirement for any organization seeking USDA funding or participating in USDA-related procurements. By signing this document, the bidder attests that no federal appropriated funds have been or will be used to pay any person for influencing or attempting to influence an officer or employee of any federal agency regarding the award of a contract. This certification applies to all organizational levels and subcontractors involved in the bid. Non-compliance with lobbying restrictions can result in penalties and disqualification from federal funding and contracting opportunities.
