About this file

The document is a Certificate of Procurement Integrity form from Lextran, the Transit Authority of Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government in Kentucky, designed to certify compliance with federal procurement regulations. The certificate requires an authorized officer or employee to confirm that, to the best of their knowledge, there are no known violations of the Federal Procurement Policy Act (41 U.S.C. 423) during the procurement process. The form mandates that all officers, employees, agents, representatives, and consultants involved in preparing or submitting the offer are familiar with and will comply with procurement regulations, and will immediately report any potential violations.

The certification emphasizes the serious legal implications of providing false information, explicitly warning that making a false, fictitious, or fraudulent certification may subject the maker to prosecution under Title 18, United States Code Section 1001. The document requires a signature, date, and typed name of the responsible officer or employee, and notes that Section 27 of the referenced act became effective on September 16, 1989. While the form itself does not provide details about a specific procurement, it serves as a critical compliance document ensuring integrity in the federal procurement process.
