About this file
This is a Statement of Work (SOW) for the procurement and installation of two ceiling fans at Hangar 220 West, Building 751, Joint Base Langley-Eustis, Virginia. The customer is the 1st Fighter Wing (1FW) – 1st Maintenance Group, which uses the hangar for weapons load training, promotions, retirements, awards ceremonies, tours, and loading competitions. The project objective is to address temperature control issues by installing two 16-inch ceiling fans with 2-foot extension tubes to improve air circulation, as Hangar 220 West currently operates approximately 10 degrees hotter than the adjacent Hangar 220 East, which already has ceiling fans installed. The requested equipment is two Big Ass Fans or equal ceiling fan kits (Powerfoil X4, 16 inches, 400-480V/3-phase). Delivery must be made to the 1MXG/MXL at 220 E. Flightline Road, Building 751, Langley Air Force Base, with a period of performance of 14 days from Notice to Proceed.
The contractor is required to provide warranty coverage for both parts and labor. Contractor employees must comply with all applicable installation access and local security policies and procedures at the government-controlled facility, including background checks and personal identity verification requirements as directed by the Department of Defense and Air Force policy. Contractors without Common Access Card (CAC) requirements must still comply with adjudication standards using the National Crime Information Center Interstate Identification Index and Terrorist Screening Database. The technical point of contact is TSgt Joseph Fowler, the BLDG 751 Facility Manager. No specialized deliverables such as project drawings, CDs, owners manuals, or samples are required beyond the installation of the equipment itself.
