About this file

This document is a Memorandum for Record dated 19 March 2025 for a Compressed Gas Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract (C25-029) issued by the 76 CMXG/MXDER at Tinker Air Force Base, Oklahoma. The contract seeks to procure high-purity compressed gases and cryogenic tank lease services, specifically: (1) 99.996% pure argon gas, (2) 99.999% pure nitrogen gas, and (3) lease of two 2,000-liter cryogenic bulk tanks. The government estimates an initial minimum purchase of 1,500 liters of argon and 1,610 liters of nitrogen, with annual estimated purchases of 28,000 liters of argon and 33,000 liters of nitrogen. The contract requires the contractor to provide gas with specific purity classifications, deliver gases on a "fill by call" basis, install the supply system per NFPA 55 standards, perform pneumatic pressure testing, and handle all tank certifications and eventual tank removal.

The memorandum details specific responsibilities for both the contractor and government, including the contractor's obligations to provide safety data sheets, ensure OEM gas process conditions are met, and be certified to install and service liquid argon and nitrogen systems. The government will provide foundations, piping, permits, utilities, and site access. The tanks will be leased for an initial 12-month period with an option for an 18-month extension. The point of contact is Bryce Williams, a Contracts and Program Management Specialist at OC-ALC OBCA, who can be reached at (405) 622-7847 or bryce.williams.4@us.af.mil.
