About this file
This is a Questions and Answers document issued by the New York State Office of Mental Health (OMH) regarding a transportation services procurement for the New York City Children's Center (NYCCC). The contract seeks to procure transportation services for the NYCCC facility located in Bellerose, Queens for a one-year term from December 1, 2026, through November 30, 2027. An optional site visit was scheduled for July 16, 2026, at 10:00 A.M., with written questions due by July 23, 2026, at 3:00 P.M. Answers to submitted questions were provided on July 24, 2026. Proposal submissions are due by August 13, 2026, at 3:00 P.M. The transportation services are to be provided on an as-needed basis with no fixed trip volume, primarily serving the NYCCC's four locations across three different boroughs within New York City. The facility requires transportation primarily on weekdays between 6:30 A.M. and 6:30 P.M., though contractors must remain available from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 A.M. for emergency services.
The contract does not specify fixed vehicle types or quantities but indicates the facility predominantly uses sedans and occasionally minivans. All vehicles must be ADA-compliant as necessary, with contractors notified of special equipment requirements at the time trips are scheduled. Transportation will remain primarily within the five boroughs of New York City, and trip assignments will be dispatched daily on an as-needed basis. No OMH-specific orientation or training is required for drivers. The incumbent contractor is Get Better Transportation, LLC. The procurement contains no MWBE, SDVOB, or DBE contracting goals, and no identical or substantially similar contracts have been awarded in the past five years. The contact for the procurement is Taya Catlin, Contract Management Specialist at the OMH Bureau of Procurement Enterprise Services.
