About this file

This is a technical specifications document for the procurement of 800 hanging KVM mount brackets to be fabricated and delivered to 2515 Aviation Way, Colorado Springs, CO 80916. The brackets must be manufactured from aluminum alloys (.080" thick Aluminum 6061-T6 for the main piece, .035" thick for KVM support brackets, and 3/16" for L brackets) with dimensions of 20" x 14.5" and finished with a black powder coat. The fabrication scope includes material sourcing, cutting, bending, drilling to specified tolerances (±0.010"), surface treatments for corrosion prevention, quality assurance inspections, and delivery. Hardware requirements include knurled screw clamps with rubber stops for desk mounting and screws for bracket attachment, with L brackets requiring rubber pads to protect desktop finishes. The contractor must submit an initial test article for government approval before producing the remaining 799 units and provide a Certificate of Conformance confirming compliance with the engineering diagrams (referenced as C2.1 Attachment (2) and (3)). Upon receipt, all parts will be inspected for dimensional accuracy, surface finish quality, and correct quantity, with any non-compliant parts to be replaced by the contractor at no additional cost. The deliverables include the 800 completed brackets with first article, a quality certification document, and a detailed packing list.

1. Project Objective The objective of this procurement is the fabrication and delivery of 800 hanging KVM mount brackets as per the provided engineering diagrams. The diagrams show tapped holes for attaching brackets using screws, shapes cut into the bracket in various locations to support Velcro straps as needed, and knurled screw clamps to attach the mount to a desk utilizing the L brackets. (Reference: C2.1 Attachment (4)_KVMMount_Knurledscrewclamp). These brackets are intended to support KVM hardware in a suspended configuration.

2. Scope of Work The contractor shall be responsible for the sourcing of materials, fabrication, finishing, and delivery of the KVM mounts. The scope includes:

· Material Procurement: Sourcing all raw materials specified in the technical drawings.

· Fabrication: Cutting, bending, and drilling of brackets according to the specified tolerances.

· Finishing: Application of surface treatments to prevent corrosion and ensure durability.

· Quality Assurance: Inspection of all parts to ensure compliance with the engineering diagram.

· Delivery: Packaging and transporting the finished goods to the following address:

2515 Aviation Way Colorado Springs, CO 80916.

3. Technical Specifications (Note: The contractor must refer to the attached engineering diagram " C2.1 Attachment (2)_Brackets Drawings" & “C2.1 Attachment (3)_Brackets CAD.dwg” for exact dimensions. Key requirements include:)

· Material: .080” thick Aluminum 6061-T6 for main piece, .035” thick Aluminum 6061-T6 for KVM support brackets and 3/16” Aluminum 6061-T6 for L brackets.

· Dimensions: 20” x 14.5”, refer to provided diagram for dimensions and measurements for all requested features of bracket.

· Tolerances: Standard fabrication tolerances of [e.g., +/- 0.010"] unless otherwise specified on the drawing.

· Finish: Black Powder Coat.

· Hardware: Knurled screw clamp with rubber stops on the end that will clamp to bottom of desk and screws for attaching L brackets and KVM support brackets. L brackets should have rubber pad attached to not damage desktop finish.

4. Deliverables The contractor shall provide the following:

1. Completed Brackets: 800 units of the hanging KVM mount, inclusive of a initial test article (mount) for Government approval before producing the rest of the units.

2. Quality Certification: A Certificate of Conformance (CoC) stating that the parts meet the specifications of the engineering diagram.

3. Packing List: Detailed inventory of the shipment.

5. Inspection and Acceptance Upon receipt, the government will inspect the brackets, inclusive of first article, for:

· Dimensional accuracy against the engineering diagram.

· Quality of the surface finish (absence of scratches, bubbles, or uneven coating).

· Correct quantity. Any parts found to be non-compliant with the provided diagrams will be rejected and must be replaced by the contractor at no additional cost.
