About this file

This is Addendum #1 issued by the California Department of Parks and Recreation for Contract #C1547026 "Goat Canyon Sediment Clean Out and Removal of Deposition Material" at Border Field State Park in San Diego, California. The addendum, dated April 14, 2016, revises the scope of work to specify removal of 74,000 cubic yards of sediment and adds requirements for third-party registered engineering surveyor services with submissions in PDF and AutoCAD formats. The document also clarifies that cobble removal is optional, and if exported, counts toward the contractor's export requirement.

The addendum adds two sediment analysis reports (2014 Goat Canyon Basin Sediment Analysis and Goat Canyon Grain Size Report from April 2007) as reference materials while noting that current year material testing is the contractor's responsibility if needed for disposal. It specifies that while the upper basin surface is typically dry at contract start, subsurface material retains moisture, and the lower basin retains more water. The contractor is responsible for pumping water if necessary to achieve required excavation volumes. No pricing terms or funding information are included in this addendum.
